After the girls arrive at the house, Ellen and Annemarie play at the beach. When Mama calls them back, she told them not to talk to anyone, not even one of Henrik's friends. The Nazi soldiers are rising.
When the girls get to the house, Ellen and Annemarie find a kitten which tags along with them while they play on the beach. Mama calls for them and and tells them not to talk to anyone most importantly the Nazi soldiers.
When the girls show up at the house,Ellen and Annemarie play at the beach next to Uncle Henrik's house.Mama then calls for them and says don't talk to Uncle Henrik's friends because it is to dangerous. The Nazi's are coming!!!!!!!
Annemarie, Ellen, Kirsti, and their mom all get to Uncle Hendrik's house and all settle down. The girls go outside and look across the ocean to Sweden, and play. Their mom calls them in saying, " Uncle Hendrik is going to be here any minute now, so the girls go ahead and go in. They over hear their mom and Uncle Hendrik talking about things and get ready for the following night.
They arrived at the house and start looking around until mama calls them inside. She asks for them to not talk to anybody because it is dangerous. They talk before bed and Anne-marie tells her her necklace is somewhere safe where nobody will find it.
Anemarie, Ellen, Kirsti, and mama finally arrived at Henrik's. Theyare playing on the beach when they are called in. They are told not to talk to anyone, even Henrik's friends.
When the girls get to Annemarie's uncle's place Annemarie,Ellen,and a kitten go to the ocean and look across to Sweden. They talked for a little while, when Annemarie's mom calls them and says that they can't talk to anybody especially the Nazi soldiers!!
Annemarie and Ellen sit at the shore line on the beach and start talking. Then Annemaries mother calls them and they eat dinner. Annemarie and Ellen go to sleep and Annemarie could hear Uncle Henrik and mom talking. In the old days they always laughed together, but tonight they didn't get close to a laugh
When they get to Uncle Henriks house Ellen and Annmarie go down to the sea line. Then they find a kitten and then get called up by Annmarie's mom. She tells them not to talk to anyone. that is where the chapter ends.
The girls reach Uncle Hendrick's house and Annemarie takes Ellen to the sea shore where you can see Sweden. As they are going a cat follows them. Annemarie's mom calls for them to come back to the house. She tells them for their safety to never talk to anybody.:D :) Ryan
Once the girls got to Uncle Hendrick's they were amazed at the breath taking veiw. Annnemarie and Ellen played with a kitten near the ocean. But, soon got called in by Mama and told them not to talk to anyone, or if somone sees you come to the house!
When the girls got to Uncle Hendrick's house they went to the sea shore. Their mom called them and they went inside. Her mom told them not to talk to anybody.
Annmarie and Ellen finally get to Uncle Hendrick's. When they got there they ran straight to the Ocean. They talk about Sweden and the Ocean. At the same time they are playing with a cat. They get bored and go up to the house and mama gives them a warning about not talking to anybody about who Ellen is and that there are soldiers all around there! They go to bed and of instead of hearing laughter they hear complete silence.
The girls got to Uncle Hendrick's house. They were amazed by the view. They were playing with the kitten by the ocean and soon called back in by Mama. They were thinking about how they were always overhearing laughter, until Mama told them not to talk to anybody. The rest of the night was silent.

When they were going to bed Annemarie heard Mama and Uncle Henrik talking and noticed that they weren't laughing like they usually did when they talked at night.
When arriving at Hendrick's house Annamarie shows Ellen around the seashore. Then Mama calls them in and tells them to be very carful to not talk to anyone while they are here because no one can be trusted. And as Annamarie and Ellen fall asleep they can hear Mama and Hendrick talking downstairs.
Annemarie, Ellen, Mama and Kirsti get to Uncle Henrick's house. Annemarie loves it here and is exited to show Ellen the old red farm house, the long grassed meadow, and the beautiful sea looking across to Sweden. They play outside and by the ocean, but Mama says to be careful and not talk to anyone. Ellen is upset and misses her parents terribly. Annemarie tries to comfort her, but doesn't know what to say. Soon it is time for bed and Annemarie thinks of the other time in this house. She know that this night is different, there is no laughter.
