Mama and Papa decide to take the girls to Uncle Henrik's. The girls take the train and meet Nazis there. They follow a pretty forest path to Henrik's house, along the way admiring houses that Mama remembers.
Mama wants to bring the girls to Uncle Henrik's.While they are all settled they see tons of soldiers looking for Jews. The girls soon survive the soldiers. And follow a forest path to Uncle Henrik's house, then Anne Marie says can I run ahead, and mama says,sure go ahead then Ellen goes say you brought a friend too.
Annmaries mom is taking Ellen, Annmarie, and Kirstie to uncle HenriK's house for pertection from the Nazis. they get off a train and take a path to his house. they talk about when mama was a little girl.
Mama takes Annmarie, Kirstie, and a box of cigars (Ellen) to her brothers house. They take a train and 2 Nazi men try to trick them saying that one of them is a jew. They get off the train and walk is the forest to Mama's brother's house.
Papa and Mama start to worry about Ellen, if its safe here and start a sceret code talking about her. So they go on a vacation to Mama's brothers house while, Papa stays home. On the train ride Nazi soilders show up and Kristi gives Andmerie and Mama a scare!
Annmarie's parents decide to take Ellen,Annmarie,and Kirsty to Uncle Henrik's house. On the train 2 Nazi soilders decide to ask people questions and stop at Annmarie's mother,Kirsty Annnmarie,and Ellens seat. After the train ride they take a path down to Uncle Henrik's house.
Annmarie's mother takes Annmarie, Ellen and Kirsti to Uncle Henrick's house. But, on the train Kirsti almost tells a solder that Ellen is a Jew. When they get of the train they take a path to Uncle Henrick's house.
Annemarie's dad calls uncle Henrick, Annemarie's mom's brother, and tells him (in code) that Ellen is coming. Annemarie, her mom, Kirsti, and Ellen take a train to Henrick's house and see many beautiful sights. A soldier talks to them on the train, but luckily, Kirsti didn't say anything about Ellen being Jewish!! When they get off the train, Annemarie's mom tells them all kind of stories about her childhood.
Annemarie's parents decide to take Annemarie, Kirsti,and Ellenn to see their Uncle Hendrick because it might be risky to go to school. They soon meet up with one of the Nazis. He asks many questions and becomes curious. Finally when the girls get off the train they walk down a path while Mama explains much about her childhood here.
They all talk about how they are not going to be safe sending their kids to shcool and going to work, so they decided that their mom and all of the girls head out to her brothers house. They get on the bus and see soilders there, but they pretend that everythings normal. Kirsti almost tells the soilders that Ellen is their friend and not their sister, but she didn't and everyone was relieved! They get there and look at everything! This all reminds momma about when she was young!

They say "no". Little Kirsti comes and wants to speak but her mom doesn't because they think Kirsti will spill the beans! Non they were wrong. When they arrived at Uncle Henriks Annemarie, and Kirsti ran aheada and mamma told them to say that they had a visitor. The visiter is Ellen.
Papa called uncle Henrick in the morning after the nazis came he tells him in code that Annamarie, Mama, Kirsti, and Ellen are coming to see him. On the train ride to Uncle Hentrick's Annamarie is afraid that Kristi will spill that Ellen is jewish but thankfully she does not. On the walk to his house Mama tells many childhood stories of growing up in the country.
