At the end of chapter 3 Annemarie says she is glad that she is an ordinary person who will never be called upon for courage. I think we can all agree that Annemarie has been called upon to show courage several times. Please give me at least three examples of how Annemarie has had to show courage and bravery.

She has had to lie several times, such as telling the Nazis Ellen was her sister, and telling them that her Great-aunt Birte was in the coffin. She has also managed to hide her own fears for Ellen's sake. Also, when pulling off Ellen's necklace, she risked herself, Ellen, and her family being caught protecting a Jew.

Annemarie showed courage and bravery when the Nazis came to her house, when they showed up at Uncle Hendrick's house and she has been showing courage by protecting Ellen and her family

1. Annemarie showed courage by also lying to the Nazi solders saying that her Great Aunt Birte died when she really didn't just to protect her family and friends. 2. She also showed courage by keeping it a secret about Aunt Birte not really existing from Ellen just to protect her cause she would want to tell her everything! 3. Annemarie showed courage by also by being a helper through all these hard times and tries to be a good friend for Ellen with the Nazi solders trying to frighten her!

Annmarie has been called upon courage several times and here are 3 reasons. #1. She has had to save her friend from the Nazi Solders. #2. Annmarie has been lying to many people like the Nazi Solders and her own best friend Ellen.#3. She has been sticking up for Ellen by not saying anything about their not being a Great Aunt Birte.

3). And lastly, when the soldiers ask her who died and she realizes Henrick was right.
